Congratulations to our 2016 Distinguished Members of the Year - Tom Latosek (pictured left with Administrative Deputy Chief, Kevin Ferrarotti) and Megan Reynolds. Both Tom and Megan have been instrumental over the past year in creating and implementing an online training platform that will propel our organization for years to come as well as leading the charge in our new member on board training.
Their efforts are just a small portion of our organization, however, as we are very fortunate to be surrounded by dedicated volunteers filling the roles of line officers, committee heads and members taking scheduled time both day and night.
Harwinton EMS continues to strive as a leading EMS system and is proud to have members such as Tom and Megan to serve the town of Harwinton and our surrounding communities. Congratulations!
The Harwinton Ambulance has recently put into service two additional first responder bags equipped with life saving equipment including Automated External Defibrillators. These bags, purchased with a generous grant provided by the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation will enable our first responders to arrive within minutes of notification and begin providing life saving care prior to the ambulance's arrival.
We are very fortunate to continuously receive the Foundation's support, which enables us to provide the highest level of medical care to the town of Harwinton and its residents.
Pictured with the equipment in front of our new ambulance is Thomaston Savings Bank President, Stephen Lewis; Harwinton Branch Manager, Diane Roveto; Deputy Chief of Operations, Aaron Franzi; and Deputy Chief of Administration, Kevin Ferrarotti.
