Scholarship Program

The Harwinton Ambulance Association awards a minimum of one scholarship annually to a graduating Lewis S. Mills High School senior.  This recipient must reside in Harwinton, and plan on continuing his or her education in the field of medicine (paramedic, respiratory therapy, RN, MD, etc.).  A strong preference is given to seniors who have demonstrated a desire to give back to their community through volunteerism.

The monetary amount and number of scholarships is decided on a yearly basis and distribution of the scholarship(s) will take place upon receipt of proof that the first semester tuition has been paid.

A copy of the applicant's high school transcript must also be submitted with the application. Students should contact the Lewis S. Mills Guidance Department for further information on applying for this scholarship.  Applications normally have to be returned to the Lewis Mills Guidance Department by the middle of March.

Additional information on next year’s scholarship opportunities will be available here in January or February.
